2011: I published and presented a paper at the Theory and Practice of Computer Graphics 2011 conference. The paper presented our Compositing Shaders, aka "shader effects", which continue to be our advised way to use shaders in CGE.

2010: I published and presented a paper at Web3D 2010 conference. I presented our X3D nodes to use shadow maps, which continue to be how you can use shadow maps in CGE.
